This weekend, I started the process of cleaning out my closet. Woof. Rebuilding my wardrobe means taking it all apart first, and it’s going to take me weeks to try on everything, sort clothes into donate-sell-keep piles, and start planning a path forward. And one thing I’ve noticed is that my handbag selection no longer fits my life.
Who was the old me, and why did she need so many clutches? Some of which have receipts in them from when Obama was president. Clearly, they’ve been heavily used. To get back on the right track, here are three tote bags that caught my eye.
Corner Office
Mansur Gavriel Everyday Cabas Bag ($695)
Cubicle Farm
Quince Italian Triple Leather Shopper Tote ($150)
Front Desk
Amazon Soft Leather Tote ($25)

When my daughter was 3, I had her clean out my closet.
She yanked down anything she didn’t like, yelled “not cute!” and heaved it down the stairs.
It worked so well I have her do it every spring.
