Three Jewelry Pieces for Now and Later

May 13, 2021

I had a big capsule collection post planned for today, but it needs another day.  I got to the point where I had 20 tabs open and a dozen pieces floating around, and I suddenly wasn’t sure about any of them.  And I’ve spent so much time on this post that I don’t want it to be anything less than awesome, so I’m going to hold it until tomorrow.

So for today, can we talk about jewelry for a minute?  Because whether you’re dressing down or dressing up right now, a little shine and sparkle never hurt anyone.  These are the three pieces that I’m loving, wearing and recommending right now.

These claw hoops from Missoma are my favorite thing I bought this year.  They’re simple with a little edge.  They also come in silver, and if you like sparkle, pave (which I also own because, like I said, I adore them).  Missoma also makes the best rings.

If you want a modern hoop under-$50, try this pair from Serefina that have a horseshoe shape.

This box chain bracelet from Baublebar is fantastic.  It’s more substantial than a delicate chain without losing any of the femininity.  You can wear it in a pair or layer it with other bracelet styles for a cool look.  It’s also adjustable so you can get the fit you need/want without having to measure your wrist or add/remove links.

I like my pearls unfussy.  This Wolf & Badger pendant takes the pretty pearl pendant to a modern place by being imperfect.  It’s the perfect gift for a grad, a bride or bridesmaid, or just because you want to treat yourself.  I adore it.  If you want a similar look for under-$30, try this & Other Stories pendant.

Another feminine hoop with an edge I thought you’d love (from a female run, small business!) https://thisisher.co/collections/a-w-2020/products/earring-11

Any advice for figuring out Missoma’s ring sizing? I’ve measured both my finger and rings that fit and used their size chart, but kept ending up with rings that were too small.
