Belle,
Love the blog! I’m looking for a chic weekend bag for the Fall, ideally under $150.
Something without wheels that I can still easily bring on the plane and not break my back would be great! Any thoughts? Thanks! Erin
A casual weekender is a great thing to have around. It’s perfect for quick trips. You can carry it in addition to a rolling bag for longer vacations. It also makes a good gym bag, or use it to store winter sweaters in the off-season.
Everlane Twill Weekender ($95)
The Everlane weekender bag is a great option. It’s a good size and comes in 12 great colors. My favorite shade is the reverse denim, a textured grey.
Beyond Everlane, Sole Society makes two great bags that have a leather look. I like their simple vegan leather duffle. (Comes in black and cognac.) This overnight bag is also a good choice; it has a zip pocket underneath the bag to keep your shoes away from your clothes. (Comes in black, cognac and oxblood.)
Want nylon? Try these Lippault weekend satchel.
I’m actually in the market for something like this (maybe bigger than a weekender, but not exactly regular carry on size) but with wheels. The only ones I’ve seen are insanely tacky.
I was looking for the nylon bag in a different color and came across this one.

This is pretty close to what I’m looking for, would just prefer if the handles were long enough to put on my shoulder. I borrowed a friend’s once that looked more tote-like for a weeklong trip to Italy. It fit a ton, but I could throw it on my shoulder and not feel super touristy. She got hers at Target and they don’t sell it anymore (though it had logos on it, like every similar option I’ve seen, which I didn’t love).
I have this in black and use it pretty much every time I travel.

It’s pretty big but I travel mostly by train and I’m not exactly a light packer. Ha. I with ur had spinner wheels but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a rolling duffel with spinner wheels and other than that I really like it.
I’m a Target fa.na.tic!! I love this weekender bag! https://www.target.com/p/women-s-weekender-handbag-green/-/A-15295788?reco=Rec|pdp|15295788|ClickCP|item_page.vertical_1&lnk=Rec|pdp|ClickCP|item_page.vertical_1
*wish it had
Sorry! Typing on my phone
I love my reverse denim everlane weekender!! My one suggestion is to scotch guard it – the reverse denim will get marks on it and rub really easily.
I have the reverse denim weekender and love it! I use it weekly and it’s holding up well. It’s small enough to fit in overhead bins on even the tiny planes, and it’s really light so easy to carry.
Word of warning- I have the second Sole Society bag mentioned, and although I love it, if you don’t have something in the bottom compartment the bag doesn’t hold its shape and looks slouchy.
I’m in in the market for a weekender bag. I’ve been considering the Everlane bag but I’m concerned that it doesn’t have a long strap that attaches in addition to the handles. Has that been an issue for anybody that has this bag?
I am in love with my weekender from Lo & Sons. Plus, they always have great sales!
