Dress: Merona Scalloped Hem Ponte Dress ($28)
From Left, Earrings: Bing Bang Fan Earrings ($63) Bag: Kate Spade Cedar Street Bag ($198) Shoes: Favian Leather Pumps ($128) Scarf: Double Jacquard Scarf ($30) Blazer: Zara Fabric Blazer ($99)
From Right, Necklace: J.Crew Crystal Necklace ($88) Bag: Vince Camuto Ella Clutch ($198) Shoes: BR Ninah Pumps ($128)
For the Office. The scalloped hem is a great detail, and it would be easy to add a pretty cardigan and colored pumps and go for the full Kate Spade look. But a dress like this is a versatile piece, and I wanted to show it in a way that wasn’t quite as obvious.
A white blazer is a great spring/summer basic. You can wear it with gray, navy, black, brights and pastels. This style is modern, if you like that, I also found this Trouve blazer with a cool, peaked lapel. Looking for something more traditional? Try this H&M blazer.
Plus-size? Try this Jones New York blazer. Petite? This J.Crew puff-sleeve blazer is great, also in misses.
Neon accents are back for spring, so I chose a scarf with a hint of citron. To blend it into the outfit, I picked a bag in a matching yellow hue. If you’d like something cheaper, try this Kate Landry satchel.
To complement the geometric print in the scarf, I chose these fan earrings. If you want something that coordinates with the details in the skirt, try these scallop-edge hoops.
For the hair, I would wear it up in a French twist or a low-bun. For the makeup, I would keep it simple with lightly winged black eyeliner and a sheer lip color.
For a Dinner Party. This outfit is more in keeping with the scallop trim detail. As you know, I adore blush and black together. This necklace has a wonderful look to it, but I also found this Mesopotamia collar at Baublebar that I really like. You could also do a long jewel necklace like this one from J.Crew.
I chose the pink shoes because they just seemed like more fun. The grey clutch seemed like a lighter choice than basic black. You could also wear a pair of simple, black, open-toe pumps and a blush clutch.
For the hair, I would love something loose and wavy. The makeup should be soft, blowy. I love Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. I’d also choose a rosy-pink lip color like Sephora Rouge Shine in Love Letter.
Love these posts Belle. I’ve always been a bit wary of a white blazer on black being too stark (though I do like monochrome & happily wear black blazer on white) but just might have to give it a go.
I’m really loving all the bright accessories this spring. The yellow purse and yellow patterned scarf are great!
