With February right around the corner, I have been on the hunt for a few cocktails to sample. So when I spotted one that mixed grapefruit, elderflower and a rose-flavored vodka with sparkling wine, I was on board.
From Bojon Gourmet, this Sparkling Rose cocktail contains more ingredients than my typical selection, but it’s easy to make. Fair warning, this is also one of those recipe posts where you must scroll ALL THE WAY to the bottom to see the recipe. But since the cocktail combines all of my favorite flavors, I was willing to put in the work.
This would be a fabulous cocktail to serve at an engagement party, bridal brunch or baby shower. Or pick up a fun set of coupe glasses and enjoy this drink at home.
Since Sloane was born, I’ve needed a little pick me up, so I started wearing lipstick again. One of my favorites is Tarte’s Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump. The formula gives your lips a boost, so they look fuller. I love the look, it’s noticeable, but not too much. I will worn you the gloss is a bit sticky.
I’ve shown the Tulip hue, which is a great pinky-raspberry. I also like the Honeysuckle, which is basically Clinique’s Black Honey. Both are great.

On those awful recipe websites with ten billion ads and endless commentary, I’ve learned to use the “Jump to Recipe” button and then use the print function, which gives you just the recipe with no ads. It’s made my life better, hope it helps someone else!
I’ve never worn more lipstick in my life than in the first year after my daughter was born. I’d drop her at day care, put on some lipstick, hit the coffee drive through, and transform into a different woman before work.
