A fantastic blouse. Four chic outfits. Let’s get to it.
The Blouse // Trina Turk Astro Surplice Top
This simple wrap blouse from Trina Turk has a flutter sleeve and summery look. It’s a versatile piece that can be styled in multiple ways. Plus-size? Try this Pleione blouse. Want a bright color? This coral blouse has a great look and a great price.
One. A Look for Weekend. NYDJ White Denim Jeans // Ray-Ban Aviators // Touchstone Bracelet Stack // Veja White Leather Sneakers // Everlane Italian Leather Tote
This outfit is an easy look for weekend trips or casual work days. No muss, no fuss. Simple white sneakers for days when you need to get your steps in or a pair of huaraches for a summery style.
To accessorize the look, I love this wood and metal bangle stack; it’s just a bit extra. You can never go wrong with a pair of aviators. And don’t miss this Everlane tote. If you’re on the hunt for a chic, mid-price bag that can take you from work to weekend, this is the bag.
For the hair, wear it in whatever style is easiest for you. For the makeup, this look could benefit from a bit of coral on the nails.
Two. A Look for Work. No. 3 Pencil Skirt // J.Crew Silk-cashmere Cardigan // Anne Klein Mule // Jenny Bird Teardrop
It’s nice to see J.Crew making nice pencil skirts again. This No.3 skirt comes in several colors for summer, but this dusty mauve is my favorite. It’s going to look amazing with other neutrals. And it’s available in plus-size.
I added a v-neck cardigan instead of a blazer, but if that’s your preference, snap up this Ann Taylor blazer (also in petite and tall). Want something more modern? Try a cropped navy blazer.
These mules from Anne Klein are unique and stylish. I really appreciate the strap across the arch so you can wear mules without that slapping sound. They’re a nice choice for summer.
With the v-neck blouse and v-neck sweater, I added this teardrop pendant from Jenny Bird. I also love this Miansai enamel pendant with a delicate dove etching.
For the hair, I’m wearing it up, twisted into a low bun. For the makeup, I’d keep it minimal with a blush that works more like a rosy bronzer (choose the rosebud hue).
Three. A Look for Vacation. Ulla Johnson Mariana Shorts // Baublebar Pauline Hoops // Furla Lilli Crossbody // TKEES Gemma Sandals
These shorts are fun for a lunch on a beach. The print is delightful. The style is breezy. For something less expensive, try J.Crew, where you can find lots of printed shorts this season.
Accessorize this fun look with a pair of easy hoops, a simple crossbody, and an easy double-strap sandal. The shorts are enough on their own, that keeping the other pieces simple is best.
For the hair, down is probably best, lightly textured with a salt spray. And for the makeup, keep it simple, but don’t skimp on sunscreen.
Four. A Look for Brunch. Hobbs Dotted Pencil (on sale) // Gucci Tortoise Sunglasses // Ettika Square Hoops // Cult Gaiga Raffia Clutch // MM LaFleur Point Flats
This outfit is the ultimate in feminine, classic style. A wrap blouse with a dotted pleated skirt feels like the perfect thing for a lovely brunch, an afternoon tea, or a church service. If you wanted to wear it to the office, you could easily add a white blazer.
Looking for a less expensive skirt? Tahari ASL has you covered. Plus-size? Try this Star Vixen skirt.
A glamorous pair of sunglasses, a pair of unique hoops, a raffia clutch, and a bright red pointed-toe shoe finish the look. These MM LaFleur flats have a great look. Want something for less? Try these Journee flats.
For the hair, I’m using my favorite hot rollers to get bouncy locks. For the makeup, I need a little red tint on my lips.
