One of my favorite looks for wedding is a flutter-sleeve dress. It’s playful, feminine, and a lot of fun to dance in. And even in a dark color like navy or black, it still has a lightness to it.

For women who have athletic arms (even actually toned), flutter sleeves are NOT attractive.
*eye roll*
Why is that? I have toned arms and while my personal preference is for something that shows off my delts, I think all sleeves look good on me.
A suggestion – next time you decide to post something like this, maybe try using “I” statements. If you have athletic arms and personally don’t find flutter sleeves flattering to wear, just say that. Even if you want to keep your broader statement about flutter sleeves being unattractive for all athletic arms, framing it as something you believe at least acknowledges that it’s a personal opinion and not fact.
THIS IS SO TRUE! I always think it’s going to show off my arms, but it hides the cut of my shoulders and frames the thicker bicep!!
1st – no such thing as toned
2nd – wear what you like
That is all
Wow, I love the Shoshanna dress. I have not worn that brand since my 20s (mostly via Rent the Runway). Time for another look!
I’m on the fence about flutter sleeves – they look attractive on the models, but I’m unsure whether they’re appropriate for those over 35 regardless of arm ton/size.
