After 18-months living through this pandemic, we all need to see our friends and loved ones. Several of my friends are having small home gatherings for the holidays. They’ll be casual. Jeans and a blouse, but how do you make that festive? Let’s start with the cocktail.
I’m not a big fan of cranberry, so when I went searching for a holiday cocktail, this Golden Pear Champagne Cocktail caught my eye. It has just three simple ingredients: champagne, pear nectar, and pear-infused vodka. Add the nectar first, the vodka second, and then top with the champagne of your choice. (For the holidays, I buy the tiny Moet splits by the case. That’s why this is my completely unrealistic dream purchase.)
This J.Crew wrap top os a nice option for casual date nights, cocktail hours, and parties where people stand in the kitchen and eat charcuterie. It looks great with jeans or a simple skirt. Here are some shoe and earring combos that would spruce it up.
Slightly Bohemian. Jeweled Mules + Beaded Earrings
Simple and Chic. Green Velvet Mary Janes (or loafers) + ARSN Mesh Drop Earrings
Classic and Pretty. Black Suede Sandals + Pearl and Gold Earrings
A Bit of Holiday Kitsch. Silver Boots + Christmas Light Earrings

That cocktail sounds amazing! Have so much fun at these intimate holiday parties! The covid rates in my state are skyrocketing and I am having to cancel plans and it’s making me so sad. I will live vicariously through your lovely posts! I’ve realized in these weird time, when you feel safe make the most of socializing because this return to normal is so not linear.
Great post – love the earring & shoes combo idea!
