The Find: A Modern Blazer

Who else grew up on Miami Vice?  Well, this jacket might give you a few Sonny Crocket vibes, but I promise, you’ll enjoy them.  Because, sometimes, we all need something different.

The long lines, the French cuffs, the open, drape style, I told you that you’d like it.  This Nanette Lepore Open Front Blazer reminds me of my early D.C. career, when my Nanette suits were my favorites.  And with the turned up collar, so fab.

The pants that go with this look are real cropped.  If that’s your look, congratulations.  For the rest of us, those with less than proportional figures, let’s think up some other ideas.

I would pair them with a burgundy trouser and coordinating burgundy blouse for winter wear.  Or I would pair it with this Brooks Brothers dress in a gorgeous marigold.
