Pineapple. My absolute favorite fruit. I love pineapple cakes, pineapple milkshakes, pineapple on pizza (don’t @ me), and pineapple in cocktails. And this week, I tried a cocktail that mixed pineapple and whiskey for a wonderful summer drink.
Bon Appetit’s pineapple punch cocktail mixes pineapple, mint and whiskey into a delicious summery drink that isn’t hard to make and is imminently sipable. The key is to use rye, whiskey, or bourbon that you enjoy drinking. In my house, we stock Green Spot.
The essential tools for this cocktail are a shaker and a muddler. If you don’t own a muddler, I like this polycarbonate one with a netted head. The grooves rally smash up the fruit and herbs.
Let’s talk about denim jackets for a moment.
A good denim jacket can be worn with anything. Over pretty dresses or with linen pants and a tee. It can even be worn over a ballgown to liven up the look (seriously, I’ve done this).
Old Navy always has a great selection of affordable priced denim jackets. This black one has a cool vibe to it. Lighter washes have recently made a comeback, but for a safe choice, try this medium wash. All of these jackets come in petite and tall as well.
Plus-size? They have a classic style with your name on it.
For the Amazon addicted, Daily Ritual also makes a chic denim jacket in a wash darker than these. It comes in at an affordable $39 and, judging by how often my neighbor is wearing hers, is well made.

Do you have a link for the cocktail recipe? Thanks!

I love pineapple on pizza! Not a Hawaiian pizza with ham, but just pineapple and cheese.
My struggle with jean jackets is that I always find the denim too stiff/scratchy. Any recs for softer jean jackets?
The one from Gap is pretty soft. It’s still denim fabric so it’s not like a knit, but it is softer than your typical jean jacket. I got mine in store and they had a white version, but I think the regular(blue) jean jacket is this one: https://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=491490002&cid=5736&pcid=5736&grid=pds_1_91_1&cpos=1&cexp=1161&cid=CategoryIDs%3D5736&cvar=8262&ctype=Listing&cpid=res19080506472383936621427#pdp-page-content.
Or you could try looking for one that is secondhand/already broken-in such as from ThredUp or Poshmark.
I got a super comfy one from J.Crew a few years back. Felt like I got it second hand (as if it had been broken in).
