Pleated skirts are everywhere this spring. They’re a feminine, fun alternative to a simple a-line. Whether you like a neutral solid or a pretty print, there are lots of options on the market. Here are a few of my favorites.

Love love love! So happy this style is in.
question: how do you clean these pleated skirts? dry clean only?!
Came to the comments to ask just this. I love these skirts, but maintaining the pleats seems like a daunting task
I steam my pleated skirts at home regularly. I don’t generally stain them but I probably get them dry cleaned once a year. Maybe that’s gross but especially with high-quality pleated skirts I’ve found the pleats really stay put and don’t need too much up-keep!
I have one that’s machine wash, hang to dry. Commercially made pleated fabric is steamed in a mould, so the pleats are pretty darn set. It would depend on the fabric (if it’s water safe or shrinks) but most synthetics are probably ok to at least hand wash.

LOVE pleats! Got the green AT skirt on sale last week.
Fellow petites – found some very cute options on ASOS (some on sale, ALL machine washable!) after this post.
Also, Artizia’s Jude pleated skirt is PERFECTION.
I’ve always shied away from pleated skirts because I don’t know how to care for them… can they be machine washed ? How do I iron them ?
This post made me realize the key to a pleated skirt is in the waistline. I have one where the pleat pattern is at the waistline and it’s not flattering. I’m loving that AT one.
A straight waistband does help.
