Most chilly spring weekends, you’ll find me in jeans and a button-up or jeans and a striped tee. I like that I can layer on other pieces to jazz up the look, but sometimes it can be a little boring. So I went looking for a more feminine, elegant look for weekend outings. Here’s how to recreate Anh’s perfectly pulled together look.
Top Luna Lace Top ($255) // Jeans AG Farrah High Rise ($168) // Coat London Fog Double-Bread Trench Coat ($158) // Sunglasses Quay Tortoise Cat-Eyes ($55) // Bag Botkier Lennox Crossbody ($228) // Shoes Sam Edelman Rodney Flats ($120)
I love the mix of textures in this outfit. The lace blouse gives the look a lightness that is so feminine. This Rebecca Taylor blouse is a lovely choice. For something closer to the blouse in the photo, this ASOS blouse has a lovely mix of textures. This James Caviello blouse has a much larger lace weave mixed with a cotton voile. Plus-size? Try this Monteau lace top.
Pair the blouse with a chic pair of jeans. Now that I’m 35, I only want high waisted jeans. They pull in your waist and allow you to wear shirts of any length without fear of exposure. These AG Farrah’s are my favorite; they really shape and sculpt your body. For a discounted pair, try this one for Nordstrom Rack.
Since we’ve already discussed trenches this week, I won’t rehash that discussion.
Complete the look with chic accessories — a leopard shoe, a red bag and a pair of cat-eye sunglasses. I love the glamour of this Botkier bag, but for something more relaxed, try this Everlane bag. By choosing a leopard shoe, instead of the nude one in the photo, you get a pop even after you take off your trench and bag.
