Food 52 has some of the most inventive, delicious cocktail recipes on the Internet. This cocktail is called the Sherlock & Watson. It contains scotch, Earl Grey syrup, cardamom bitters and lemon juice.
Perhaps it’s the cocktail or all of the Downton Abbey that I’ve been watching this week, but this drink looks like the perfect thing for cocktail hour.
Robert Rodriguez Bonded Peplum Top ($325)
The pleated peplum top from Robert Rodriguez is just to die for. I love the contrasting black under-layer and the deep-v neckline. It’s perfect with skinny, black tuxedo pants and a cool black sandal.
I also like this Aiko Kittles peplum top with contrasting, body-shaping panels. I’m also loving this navy and black Rebecca Minkoff peplum on sale at Bluefly. Need something under-$75? Check out this Jaye.e chiffon top and this Calvin Klein leather-accent peplum.
Prefer long-sleeve tops? This black and white color block top from Ann Taylor is a great buy at $69 (also in petites), and this Addison Leslie grey melange peplum with faux leather accents looks comfortable and chic.
Plus-size? Check out this Shoptiques teal peplum top and this structured black Lafayette 148 top. Petite? Try this WHBM dot knit peplum top.
Hi Belle,
I’ve been madly dashing through all your posts since I spotted your blog through pintrest. You’ve inspired me to actually wear the dresses and skirts I own instead of just t-shirts and nice trousers. What is your take on wearing a winter/trench coat over a blazer? All my coats fit over sweaters but blazers are a different story and it feels really uncomfortable to wear both while commuting (and looks terrible).
