Dorothy Perkins Striped Dress ($59 + 20% 0ff)
There are lot of things to like about this dress, but I’m primarily drawn to its versatility. It’s casual enough for weekend wear, but you could dress it up for the office or for an after-work event with the right shoes, accessories and separates. I also like the details on the bodice and the overall shape of the dress. And I have more than a few friends who will adore the fact that it has pockets.
If you’re into the stripes, I also found this inexpensive knit dress in a simple, casual Friday-appropriate cut. This FCUK dress has a more relaxed shape, but it’s great for a weekend. Looking for long sleeve? I recommend a dress with variations in stripe width, like this one. And this chevron-striped dress has a burst of bright color and a full skirt.
Plus size? I like the asymmetric stripes on this dress, and the way the stripes and the solids are blocked together on this sheath. Petite? I love the bright pink stripe on the trim of this dress (also in regular), and the accent stripe on this long sleeve dress.
Belle I LOVE this dress, but even as you show it above as office attire, do you think it would be too short for the office environment? Being 5’11 that’s always something I’m very conscious of so I’d love to hear what you think!
It really depends on the person. I have some dresses that are office appropriate on me, but might not be on someone taller. Grab a measuring tape and see where it would hit on you.
