Once a year, I turn over the pages of this blog to my husband. He’ll tell you that it’s a chore, a slog, a burden from which he would prefer to un-yoke himself. But the truth is: he loves it.
As soon as it posts, he’s texting me like a nervous school girl begging for comment updates. He’ll log into my affiliate accounts to check sales. He’ll openly speculate as to why certain items are moving and others aren’t. He can’t help himself. He craves the attention. So I will reluctantly step aside once again to give him his time in the sun.
Without further ado, and against my better judgment, Kyle’s 2024 Holiday Gift Guide. Alternatively titled: My wife gave me a PS5, and I have to pay her back somehow.
*Editor’s Note: Not all of the items featured in this gift guide are in the graphic. Please read on.
After reviewing the men’s gift guides Abra sent me as templates, I was tempted to just use ChatGPT to draft this and call it a year. But the sh***y gifts AI recommended would have been a dead giveaway… (that and the correct sentence structure and spelling). So I’m back, burning the midafternoon oil, to save your significant others from having to fake enthusiasm over a pair of generic On Clouds, and I’ll leave the task of making this readable to my wife (sorry, dear).
One. Sports // Golf gifts may strike you as played out. Been there, done that. But the avid golfer will never turn down a new wedge, and this Taylor Made High Toe Wedge is a great place to start. Get the oil can finish.
Golfers and non-golfers alike will love a Greyson polo. Because, as any guy will tell you, the collar is the first thing to go on a polo, and these hold up and fit amazing. I recommend sizing down.
Other gifts for golfers include this range finder, a box of the best balls, and a clip-on golf ball holder so you don’t have to dig around in your bag anymore.
Into pickleball or wants to get into pickleball? That Greyson polo is a great option, but I recommend lessons. There’s no better Christmas spirit than the warm feeling of crushing Bev and Bruce during your regular weekly match.
Two. The Cooler // Not all functional gifts are bad. Some dudes actually prefer a practical gift that makes their lives easier. There isn’t a man (especially a dad) alive who doesn’t need a way to travel with a supply of cold beverages to a place where there won’t be any available for purchase, and rolling a cooler behind you while carrying a kid sucks. Behold, the Yeti backpack cooler. Looks cool, works great, other guys will look at him with jealousy.
Three. Kitchen Gifts // Over the past few years, I have routinely recommended kitchen knives as a great gift for the men in your lives. And if you’ve followed my advice, then you need a great sharpener for said knives. The rolling knife sharpeners from Horl give you a professional quality edge. They come in a wood version and a cheaper composite version.
Still need a knife? A Shun Santoku knife is a great place to start. A Nakiri knife is also a good choice.
Four. Footwear // Letting the dog out or need to make a quick run to the store? These North Face Traction booties are the perfect quick on quick off shoe. Warm and the traction is solid. Lots of colors.
Everyone has basically abandoned dress shoes for neutral casual sneakers, like it or hate it…we are here. So the only option is to have the next cool one. These Onitsuka Tiger Corsairs are the shoe for 2025. Low profile, cool enough, not a gym shoe.
Also on the menu are these Nike Killshots for $90 (grab a cool color, he’ll thank you). If the man on your list loves loud — aka. your teenage nephew — these Jordan Retro Lows by Travis Scott are it.
Five. Photo Printer // This Kodak photo printer is a great family gift. I’ll put the normal snark aside and just say this gadget has been a huge value add for us. We have more photos of Sloane up and her grandparents are pumped to get photos to take home from each visit. They also make a grandparent proof version that lets you plug it directly into your phone.
For the young ones, I recommend this Fujifilm instant camera. Or go for the full 90s throwback and break out the disposable cameras. Yes, these are apparently a big deal again. Your cool uncle said so.
Six. Trading Cards // Cards have been back for a minute and I recently caught the bug. For many dudes in my age group, card collecting is a core memory. If your significant other has ever mentioned they collected cards, this may be a sneaky pick for gift of the year. Buy the Panini Mosaic mega box…they might hit a card worth real money. (Adjust for sports preference.) (Also, his mom probably still has his somewhere, so give her a call. She’ll be thrilled to get them out of her attic.)
Seven. Personal Grooming // This Philips One Blade Hybrid Razor/Trimmer is a solid Stocking Stuffer – Simply works, no notes. Also, the biggest scam with nice razors is that then you have to buy that brand’s blades, which is inconvenient and expensive. This Bolin Webb razor is awesome and you can just use the Gillette Fusion 5 Blade razors available at any store.
Eight. Clothing // I typically don’t look for value when shopping for clothes, it’s more of a don’t shop often and buy what you like situation. However, I did see a recent comment about my “expensive taste” and thought I would tone it down a bit.
This Banana Republic cashmere sweater is $80 bucks, comes in every color and held up to a work trip and Thanksgiving travel without an issue. The comparable option from Nordstrom was $150 on sale. If he needs a Christmas party sweater, this Martini sweater is more Don Draper than Buddy the Elf.
As for pants, these Peter Millar performance pants are perfect for any occasion. And if your man is buying pants at the same place he buys his groceries, put a stop to that insanity now. You can buy AGs at Nordstrom Rack. There’s no need to buy denim where you buy motor oil.
That’s all I have for this year. If you need more gift ideas for the men on your list, leave specific questions below and Abra will add them to her post tomorrow. And remember to like and subscribe to this human-created gift guide so I can maintain my place as the most shared post of the year. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Thank you! You helped me finish my shopping. LOLing at him buying pants from the grocery store.
I’ve already been looking at photo printers for yoto card covers… this might have convinced me that we need it as a family gift.
lol at the grocery comment too, but if your man buys clothes at Costco, he’ll never betray you
Hadn’t thought of disposable cameras for the kids! Nice! Great ideas in here!
I have the low top version of those North Face shoes and they are the best. They’re also kind of great for long flights.
I’ve been wondering about the Yeti backpack cooler! I’m glad to hear from someone who likes it. Thanks!
Every year Kyle’s gift guide gets me at least one stocking stuffer for my husband lol. This year was the golf ball holder clip!
Love this! And I also (albeit reluctantly!) bought my husband a PS5 but it was more for my sanity than for him 😂 Love you, Abra! (and Kyle, of course!)
Any suggestions for brands of ‘nice’ casual men’s clothing featuring something of variety of ‘nice’ clothes for the tall guys? The ones who are 6’3″ and over who aren’t ‘big’ (3xxl and beyond), just tall? Casual clothing, not sloppy (skateboarders need not apply)?
Banana has tall sizes online. But let me ask Kyle, he’s 6’3″.
My brother is 6’3”, about 200, really broad with no belly. Banana Republic online in XL tall or L tall fits him really well.
YASSSS!!!! I always look forward to Kyle’s Gift Guide every year! I even look at his past posts for gift ideas for my fiance! Thank you Kyle! Thank you Abra!
I just got back from Singapore and Onitsuka Tigers were everywhere- on both men and women. I was so tempted to buy a pair. I’m sure I’ll end up with some because I have zero self control when it comes to a trendy, comfy shoe.
I’ve been holding off on buying my husband his gifts until this post…thank you for the inspiration, Kyle! Love the North Face booties. I’m definitely getting my husband a pair for early morning take-out-the-trash runs.
Hahahah Kyle’s gift guide has me buying more presents for myself!!
Does anyone have a reliable source for a men’s pant in 28 waist, besides American Eagle? Height is around 5’7″ so the junior’s section is never quite right as much as everyone wants to send you there.
Thanks
What about a company that feeds a mostly foreign market base? Maybe a Massimo Dutti or ASOS or Zara? They probably have smaller sizes.
My husband is 5’5” and likes to buy from Ash and Erie, which is an entire brand specifically made for men under 5’9”. Looks like their waist sizes go down to 28 and their inseams go down to 25. The brand is a little more expensive than he would like but they do have sales occasionally.

Thank you! I just bought four of the clip-on golf ball holders for the golfers in my life. So many golf-related gadgets don’t seem useful. I think they’ll love this.
