As I’ve mentioned prior, I cannot drink gin due to an allergy. For many years, this was not a problem. And then, one day, gin became popular again. Suddenly, I found myself either asking for substitutions (which can be dangerous since vodka and gin are both clear) or drinking Bourbon. But sometimes, a gin cocktail looks so delicious, I just have to try it with vodka.
This Holiday Elderflower French 75 from @cheesegal has a lot of delicious ingredients. It’s also a festive drink to serve at any holiday party. To freeze the ice cubes, I recommend silicone molds, they just work better. If you want your cubes to be perfectly clear, boil the water first. And while I am happy to make some festive ice, I will not be sugaring cranberries for the top. This is a bridge too far. I’ll just buy some festive cocktail picks instead.
This Thanksgiving is just us and a couple of friends, so it is decidedly casual. This Maeve sweater has a wonderful “cool girl” vibe to it. The sheer inset is pretty fantastic. If you bought a satin slip dress last year, layer it over the top. Or wear it with jeans, whatever you want to do.
Maeve is a fabulous brand you can find at Anthro. They always have great pieces that are a little different and moderately priced. This dusty rose sweater is a really great work-to-weekend option. If you need something a little dressier, I would layer this sleeveless sheath dress under a chic cardigan.

I love Maeve – basics but with a little something extra!
