I hate daylight savings time. Spring forward, fall back. Translation, we’re hear to steal an hour of your weekend, and we are not the least bit sorry about it. And before you know it, it’s Monday and you have to get dressed for work as if you’re not exhausted.
How can one hour make such a huge difference? Here’s an outfit for the Monday that came too soon.
Jacket T Tahari Blazer ($105) // Blouse BR Clip-Dot Tank ($68) // Pants T Tahari Marlena Pant ($78) // Sunglasses Quay My Girl Sunnies ($55) // Watch Timex Chrono Mesh Watch ($119) // Bracelet Gorjana Cersi Cuff ($31) // Bag Furla Magnolia Satchel ($425)
White blazers are kind of my signature. A basic one like this Tahari has a place in any wardrobe. For something different, try this double-breasted M&S blazer. Plus-size or Petite? Try this Talbot’s blazer.
The photo isn’t tremendously clear, but this Banana Republic blouse has the loveliest dotted print on it. It’s an updated basic that’s just the right amount of extra. Looking for something with sleeves? Try this wrapped panel t-shirt or this Cuyana silk tee.
Pair these white separates with a simple black trouser. Looking for something under-$50? Talbot’s has their Chatham pant on deep discount.
The accessories are simple but with punch. Pair a shapely pair of cat-eye sunglasses with sleek gold accessories for that cool-girl look. Then, eschew basic black for a sleek taupe satchel. If this Furla bag is a bit pricey, try this Steve Madden satchel or this Vince Camuto satchel with a unique shape.
For the hair and makeup, I’m keeping it simple. Since daylight savings stole my sleep cycle from me, I’ll need good concealer. I’ll add my new favorite lipstick in Pillow Talk. And for the hair, it’s probably dry shampoo and a Beachwaver on day old hair.
Sounds like a hell of a Monday.

Oh I love this outfit! I have a white jewel-neck blazer I’ve been wearing a lot, now just need to find a white top that doesn’t make me sweaty! For my casual startup office, I’d wear the top items with black jeans and ankle boots. My go-to handbag is light grey, and I think it will go nicely!

Bought both the blazer and the top on Monday, received them yesterday. Outfit looks great, but be warned that the top is see-your-belly-button-through-the-shirt sheer and will require a cami. And despite the descriptions of both on the vendors’ websites as “white,” they are both somewhat off-white. But, I can recommend it!
